    Proline beadlock hub question.

Just bought me some Proline beadlock hubs and was wondering how tight to screw down center (red) ring to the hub itself. Should you allow some threads to be showing between this ring and the hub or should it be snug against it without over-tightening of course? Just don't want to crank down too hard and end up slicing the lip of the tires. Any advice would be appreciated.

You will not cut the tires. Screw them in as far as possible without stripping the plastic rims.
If you want to save 2 ounces, replace the rings with Carbon fiber. You can also lighten the plastic parts:

The link to the carbon rims, and pics of my lightening job are in the thread above. Those rims are really heavy, and I had to do something about it...

Just snug them down. When the ring is tight to the rim, its good. If you try to tighten it more, you will strip the hole in the rim.

Thank you so much guys. Don't like the weight of them though. Will be taking a drill to them for sure.
