    Replacing Jato chassis...

I'm upgrading my chassis to the hopup chassis and was wondering if its really as easy as someone had told me. They said its as simple as turning the car over and simply removing screws. Are there any other points I should be aware of? Or am I pretty much going to be taking the whole car apart and putting it back together?

i didn't ever change the chassis before. it looks that you didn't open or replaced any part of your jato before therefore i would avise you to start training yourself changing or opening that part or this on your jato so you'll gain experience.

i know, it looks diffecult for the first time, but once you start in it and use to do it it will turn so easy.
Just keep the right tools near you and use the exploaded views online or diagram manual to help you in the start.

It's easy. Will take you up to an hour. The only part that you might have trouble with, is finding the correct mesh between the engine and transmission.

Ok, the mesh and the screws haha. Ill usually lay the screws out on the work bench in the same way they came out. If that makes sense. I've done a lot of work on my car and have never had any problems, but throughout my rc years I've never actually changed a chassis. I do know what you mean when you say it looks hard but once you get into it, itll be pretty simple.

Thank you guys for your help and feedback. Now all I have to do it wait for the parts to come in. They are on backorder =( I'm replacing the chassis to the upgraded lightweight aluminum, rear RPM arms, new driveshaft... and the top chassis plate. I heard a lot of other people break the top plate as well.

everything is written on the drawings, even more the length of screws, so don't worry and train yourself.

    Just a tip
when i first time opened and changed my tranny gears of the electric rustler i placed a camcorder in front of me to recored every step so that i'll not forget the screwz postion.

if you used the digram exploaded views you should be fine, just take your time and space.

He won't need to take the tranny apart. Not sure if the new chassis came with a tranny gasket, if not, just peel off the stock one.
