Your probably tuned a little rich at 1/2 tank and when you fill it up it is excessivly rich.
When tuned well it will always be a little rich/sluggish at full tank when using the stock tmaxx tank.
    No slipper/tall gearing/power = broken parts.

I have done the violator tank upgrade and it makes a WORLD of difference. It makes tuning a great deal easier also.

Yeah, the old violator tank was only 145cc. They recently did a running change and made it 150cc lol.

i'm thinking of relocating my battery box underneath the truck so i can do the tank mod. it is very easy to tune at half a tank ran great but everytime i filled it up it would act up real bad hardly run very frustrating. ok so when you do the tank mod it's not visable from the outside of the truck how do you keep track of the fuel so you don't run tank empty and run lean?

There's an old thread I forget who do it. But I'm sure someone with pics will chime in. It's not visiable from the outside of the truck. It sits where your old one does just a little more forward. There's a couple places on the truck people put the tank. Mine is going where the battery box used to be. If u search for a thread they show lots of pics of the process. It's called "doing the violator tank upgrade" it should pop up.

yes i have seen it a couple of times just been fighting doing it but i see how great it runs on half a tank i think thats the next upgrade on the list like the signature says theres always one more part you need but with 4 trucks and a car i always have a list going

oh hey we are going camping for a week i was planning on taking a truck or two but have a problem the heat would cause a problem with the fuel outside and we have no room for fuel bottles in the trailer so i don't know what i would do with it. the trucks i would put in plastic bins under the awning. it looks like i may be forced to take my 2pede and 4pede battery trucks and leave my intro at home

put the fuel in the plastic bin i did mine when i moved and was fine, i actually put 2 gallons inside with my rc truck along with my charger, wd-40 and most of my After Run stuff too. i have a 80 gallon tupper ware box. works nice with a swing open lid. fits tx. i could even put my merv inside to if i wanted to.

I ran a flat pack under the chassis unprotected for years and never had a issue.

I have always done that since 2005.... Helps drop the center of gravity a little, the chassis braces prevents the pack from getting smacked...

The violator tank sits lower, it's the fuel level in relation to the carb that causes the leaning up. The TMAXX tank, when full, the fuel level is higher than the carb. As the fuel level drops then it becomes less rich..... Another reason why that Proline extended run time tank makes the leaning up even worse. Just thought I'd add that in, not an option IMHO.

Other benefits,,,, No broken/cracked tank legs, the baffling is better so less fuel sloshing, and it has a god stone filter built in so you really don't need to have an inline fuel filter.
