    Mmm/2650 question

    Hi guys,
For everyone running the MMM/2650, Castle says the motor wires, and battery side of the wires on the esc can be shortened, I was running today and the motor wires were hot, about 94 deg, the esc was 116 deg and the motor was 120, my gearing is 54/24, My question is, how short is too short? in the pic, is that too short?

    Thanks for any input..

buy a fan for the motor, that will stop alot of the heat. gear it down if ur planing run it everyday like that.
if u gonna do a speed run once in a while keep the gears that way just run it let it cool off.

i havent gotten my mamba monster yet but i hope my input help

94dF? That's not too hot. The insulation on the motor wires are rated for like 200dF if I remember correctly. The motor wires come straight off the windings in the can, so that's not too bad at all. If it's running ok with the wires that short, I'd say everything is fine.

motor wires are fine , my motor runs 135-150 depending on how hard I run it , anything over 180 constantle is getting too hot, 200 is where issues start

Thanks Ben. I think I'll stick to 3s, it's fast enough for me, well maybe I will have to try 4s,lol..
