how do i get my lipo into store mode

i have a 3cell 5000mah lipo that is dead and i was wondering how to get it to store mode do i just charge it up to 2500 mah?? please help

If it's dead dispose of it. If it's alive, use the storage mode on the charger.

If you don't have a storage mode option on your charger can you charge the battery half way. I have two Traxxas Lipo 2C 2200, so does that mean I can charge them for storage at 1.1?

No 1.1 is a charge rate and won't stop till the battery is full, which will take twice as long as 2.2.

So if a charger doesn't have a storage mode you would have to run the battery half way down once it has been fully charged. Correct?

It's not something I would do.
50% capacity is different to 50% voltage. But I guess it would be safer than having a fully charged lipo on the shelf and forgetting about it.
I don't know why every lipo charger doesn't have a storage mode.

I wish they did, I would hate to buy another charger for storage but I might pick-up the Traxxas EZ Peak Plus Charger. Found one on EBay for 80 bucks.

there's two settings on a lipo charger you use all the time, balance charge and storage. Any other is just an extra that rarely is used as much as these two.

Ya 3.8v per cell. So in your case it should be 11.4v when in storage mode if im right
