proud (new to me) owner of a MERV!!!

Hi fellow MERV owners, finally after all this time, the wait is over for me. recieved it this morning in the mail and i cant believe how nice it its for a used one. got this one off MP for a trade. i already have the big brother ERBE so i said why not get the little bro. i started off a nitro guy, now i'm completely into ELECTRIC. traded my maxx 3.3 for his roller with titan 550 motor and XL2.5 ESC, and i have my velineon VXL3S / motor 3500 so why not put it in and this is the result.
anyway heres what i've done so far,

still have alot of testing and remounting the ESC to where i like it the most, but for now i'm liking it.

Congrats on the merv. Btw those tires look nice cause I love wide tires and the rims look like HPI 2160 let me know about those tires. I would definitely suggest front and rear RPM A-ARMS, TRA7151x, associated shimms 21141 and TRA7250R that's if you haven't already ordered these and a nice big bore shocks.

might need some stronger batteries the spc are only 30c. your setup draws over 100 amps

he plans to use them in parallel and its more than enough for the setup he is using. just like using other BB's like castle you have to use x2 lipos in parallel.

i dont like how short the wheel base is, so i'll probably get the rear long wheelbase arms. does RPM makes the extended rear A-Arms?

Nice car! Im not sure if you are going to like those tires. I used them and they are collecting dust. Too slippery.
That 1/10 VXL set will make it move. It's a beast with the stock VXL combo already.

You got the right batteries. More than enough if you run them in parallel. When you are no too wild with the gearing, just one will even work.

I tried them for speed runs too, but I hated it that it went sliding all over the place when I hit the brakes (my throttle/brake finger is far from digital). Sometimes a little harder to control car can be fun tho. It's about fun in the end.

That looks like the stock servo, with the weight of a bb and those big tires I would be looking for a new servo.******* 390 is a backordered favorite but I run the hitec 5085mg much stronger than stock.the stock ones aren't known to last

Sav÷x makes the SH-0255. That is also a metal geared one. Slightly slower and a bit more torque than the 2080.

yeah, with all the upgrades out there, chances are PPl will buy it to test it for themself and comment it here wether its good or bad, for instance integy, most PPl hate integy hop-ups as they tend to brake more easily, but at the end you got to keep in-mind that this is only a hobby. its all about injoying yourself, now if you'll excuse me, I have a spartan to run in the pond, LOL.

Really nice 1/16 there, like the street tyres. Also small enough to keep it in a bag and bash around occasionaly on parking lots and empty spaces. Thats what im doing when its nice weather, put my rc in a bag, take the bike, and just cruise around, looking for good spots.
