Hey jhsmith87, in first pic it looks like you have a couple packs of shims. Are they all the same size, or did you get different sizes?

well i did what you said discharged it down to about 7.4v then charged it on .5 amps untill it stopped, wouldnt charge any more after about 8.15 or close to that so i dropped the amps down to .1 and it finaly come to a stop around 8.3v more than it held before but not quite as much as it did

Lets get back to the initial topic "What did you buy for merv today????", shall we?

Yesterday, while having a blast with the MERV, i thought: man, you def need moaar batteries from the 2S variety.

Back at home, played with some alternatives in different online shops, checking out shipping rates and such, suddenly realized: the european/german warehouse for the shop that must not ne named, is located only 4km away from my office. Even better they offer a pickup service for goods available at that warehouse!!

Ordered+paypaled two 2S 40C *****s last night and picked them up TODAY.
The warehouse looked like the last place to be, in the outer outskirts, but nice people and everything was perfectly arranged.
So it took one day to get me the fresh lipos i normaly would have waited for 4-6 weeks. Price is the same as ordering from the international warehouse, due to no shipping/custom fees.

They came at 3.84/3.84 and 3.84/3.83V per cell. I charched them at 0.5C to 4.2V/cell and gave them a spin.
I know fresh LiPos usually open up a bit more after a couple of charges/discharges. But these feel more punchy than my 35-70C ********** from the first charge on. Quite happy atm.

They lasted longer then the MERV.. (only a lost screw, no biggie.)

For comparison: 2S ***** ********* 20C 2200mAh, 40C 2200mAh, ******* ********** 35-70C 2200mAh, 3S 25-50C 1600mAh

As you see the ***** 40C are quite a bit thicker then the 20C version.
Nice thing of the 20C *****s is that you can squeeze the balance plugs in the battery compartment. Not possible with my other Lipos.

Nice. That's strange the 40c had more of a punch than the 30-80c. Maybe cause the 30-80c is really only runnin 30c. Do u know witch 3s would b good from that place at a good price? I seen a 1800mah 80c 3s for only like $12 it's supposed to b made for 1/16.. I don't know much about how good they are..

I also need to get some good 2.2x2 rims I'd like Chrome does any one know where and what the best price on them r? I'm talkin bout some like hpi monster 2140
I also need a good buy on some tires to. Any ideas?

Yeah, the ******* 2250 65/130 was my first choice too.

But the *****s where available today + are in my car NOW. Huuuge advantage.
**********s are not available in the german warehouse yet.

Well, can only speak for the two 3S 1600mAh 25/50C ******* **********s.
Thats all i own and enough 3S power for the moment for me. The wear on parts is definitely higher then on 2S.

They fit, last longer then the thermal envelope of my current setup and are a blast to drive and cost $13 a pack ex shipping.
So far i like them, but have not run other 3S Lipos to compare. And a con is the sometimes eternal shipping time.

Boost 3 cell fit good are 60/120 more than you need 43.00 shipped in the states but are strong and better quality, will last longer than Chinese packs.

Rear bulkhead, traxxas aluminum toe links, stock skid plate (broke it @ the chassis and only need 1 piece), 2 stub axles, and an on board camera. 808 keychain to be exact.

Still had to buy the stock skidplate regardless, the skid isnt broken, the brace that goes with the chassis and bulkhead is broken.

Getting a tbone skid plate and integy roll cage.
