Nitro Sport got away from me

    Hi Guys-
I'm a self admitted newbee with nitro cars. Tonight I was doing the break in cycle and the car shot away from me when I messed with the switches on the radio control. Needless to say I could not catch it and the only thing that finally stopped it was a tree stump. I'm just curious what could have caused this. I had the trigger on the radio in neutral. I just don't want it to happen again and wind up getting hit or causing damage. Is there a kill switch you can buy or something? Any help would be appreciated. I"m sure I'll have a ton more questions.

    thanks-
    John

Did you mess with the throttle control or switch from 50/50 to 70/30? What radio system do you have? AM? If so then buy a fail-safe. If 2.4 then it should have a fail-safe built in where it will cut the throttle to neutral when the rx battery is low or loss of radio signal.

Its just the 27mhz am controller. I did not touch the throttle yet and i did toggle between the 50/50 and the 70/30. So then u think a fail safe is the way to go for me? Thank you for the help.
