    Bad idea or good idea.......

as the tittle says, is it a bad idea or good idea to plug the end of the rudder? and what can happen? i'm just curious if it will improve its water flow.
    thanks in advance.

Not entirely certain what you mean by plug the bottom of the rudder.

If you are referring to the round hole on the very bottom edge of the rudder that is "left over" from drilling out the galleries, then yes, it should be plugged from factory.

If it has become unplugged, then you should seal it up again.

Yes as hog said ..... you need to plug up the hole in the bottom of the rudder as water will exit there as well and provide less water flow to the componets where it is most needed.

I have had this happen to me once also.
