    Pictures of street setups!

My friends and I have all setup our Rustlers and slash for the street. Every week we battle to see who has the fastest most consistent setup on an oval track in a local parking lot. I would like to see pictures of your rides that are setup for the street. thanks.
Also if you guys have any tips for street racing rustlers let me know.

Won't the tape tear and fly off after a run or two? Did you read posts about the tape being on the inside of the tire? (I know that's impossible with your front foams)

I have it set up now, to be wide and go 70mph. However i am about to pull the trigger on a MMM and Castle motor to go for the ol 100mph. Its the same costs as if I was gonna go for 70mph, so guess im goin for it. lol.

Il be switching it out for sure.

Btw TTthree, From my understanding... Foam tires dont ballon. Also, tape on the "outside" wont do anything for you, except for completely kill your traction, and rip right off. I u have tape on the outside, you dont have tires touching the groud, so whats the point. When people talk about taping their tires, they are talking about doing it on the inside. But thats on rubber tires, that someone glues to the rims. Not Jaco Foams.

Btw... Where u get em, I keep seein em sold out.

Actually, the tape on the wheels is just to protect them from oil, glue, paint, etc while working in the basement. It was a lame atempt to a joke.

@ Absoloot, going mmm and 2200kv will be alot more expensive than just going 70mph. Even if you find a used motor and esc you still have to buy mod 1 pinions, alloy tranny, buggy wheels, 17mm hex, gyro, 6s lipos, the list can be made long. Not to mention the possibility to crash and ruin you build.

Your rustler look kinda neat, i wouldnt ruin that.

Yeah I've been to island raceway a few times for some parts as that is not even 5 minutes from me, but they only seem to race the buggy cars there.

    The manorville track looks fun

Started out as a 6S, 100mph attempt stock truck that never made it:

Then I downgraded it to be a simple street runner with a bunch more upgrades. Never ran it like this before I sold it:

Sold because I didnt ever use it and saw no real use in its future with me. I have a 1/8 onroad car so that takes care of my pavement needs. I just wanted to see what kind of cool setup I could build mostly from parts I already had on hand. Turns out, it was a pretty **** setup and would have been FAST on 2S. Oh well... lots of nice rides in this thread though. I like many of them. Lots of good style.

the first are rally grp belted tires 1/8 scale 17mm adapters, specially for speed runs, the second are proline speedhawgs 2.2 tires, nice, and gripy low profile tires just for on-road.
