tallest gearing for big block w/traxxas 3500 and summit motor mount

There is so many options and preferences I'm lost. For speed runs/ huge parking lot racing what gears do you run? i've got dirt hawg tires, 3s batteries and stock Merv esc. I do have the esc from my brushless stampede too but pictures show the stock brushless 1/16 one.

Thanks for the input. I have to mail order so trying parts at the counter isnt an option

Hot Racing makes a 43t spur, but it's steel. The smallest plastic spur I know of is the Traxxas 45t spur.

    do 31T45 or 28T45

and i am sure it will do right

fast and much torque with that gearing

31/40 will gain much heat i think on engine
    Xtreme has no limiits

Tenbol site suggests 43/45 for 62mph. Anyone ran that?

Since all the videos show people backflipping at 50 can I just run the tallest gearing space allows? If it can backflip its got tons of spare power left to gear taller for speed runs,,, right?

Ran 31 pinion with stock 50t spur and had a blast. After 8 back to back 2 block speed runs the esc thermo shut it down, motor was at 125f, batteries at 70 degrees. was considerably faster mph wise than with stock brushless . I think it was doing 60. The 45 spur will push it some more! standing on the rear t-bone bumper for 15 feet at high speed was cool too.
