    Question popped shock caps

    I popped both my right rear shock caps off. I have new shock oil that I bought at the LHS. I forgot to ask them if I could have lost anything out of the shock? Or am I good to go just to refill it? It is a 4908 3.3 T Maxx.

    That happenes with higher weight oils pm the stock shocks... If you find the bladders you can try using plumbers teflon tape (white non-adhesive stuff). This usually does the trick. SOme elect for putting on aluminum shock caps, I think the Big Bore :caps will work, not sure thought.

    I gotta get some bladders tomorrow if the LHS has them in stock. How do you orient them in the cap? Or do they go in the body of the shock?

    They indeed go into the cap,
    the dome dips into the fluid
    when you screw the cap on.

    Cap--> o[) <---bladder

    Thanks! I wish that I they would put stuff like this in the manual, they need a service manual for these things.

    Both the manual & exploded view shows the shock, how it goes together & the cap bladder w/dome facing down.

    Just snug the cap then tighten a touch, don't over tighten the caps or you run the risk of pushing the cap bladder into the shock body.
