slash 2wd and 4x4 batterys and gearing
Hey there i have both a traxxas slash 4x4 and a slash vxl.
In the 4x4 I am running 19/54 and It was clocked at 45.7mph with a 11.1v 3s lipo
what gearing can I change of battery to achieve 60+ mph
In the 2wd I am running 25/83 and it was clocked at 41.mph with a 8.4 nimh battery
I am ordering a 9.6v nimh battery. i don't want to use a lipo in this car! what gearing can i change to to
reach a higher speed> Thanks please help!!!

31/76 is the highest you can go with stock traxxas parts, you can get even higher ratio, but you will overheat your motor since you dont want to use lipos.

Don't see a point of clocking your self with NiMH. It like clocking Hyundai accent going uphill...

If i were to use lipo in the 2wd what is a good gearing for speed also whats good for torque?

You ask a lot of questions. So you dodge bullets for a living but on the fence about putting a lipo in your 2wd. You can make it go like a rocket with the right gearing but that same gearing wont be good for torque. Put a 3 or 4 cell in it gear it right so it doesn't overheat and it will go fast and have torque. Takes trial and error with no perfect combo.
