Whos running what lipo...... sorry if this has been talked about already.

I have the newer Spartan. I have a pair of Traxxas 2cell 5800 25c. And honestly not that happy with the speed.
My question what brand are ya'll using. I've noticed Traxxas seems to be a little higher in their price. Let me know.

First of all you need 3C batteries to get full speed out of your spartan. I run trinagy **** teck 3C 40-90C 5000's in mine and they do just fine. The higher the mah the more time you will have in theory. Weight has a lot to do with it. The heavier batteries offset the run time. You should get 15-20 minutes running easy. Only 8-10 minutes running hard. So you see alot has to do with how hard you run your boat! Lol! The 2C bats don't have the voltage needed for high speed runs but they are fine beater bats!

Where did you get them at, and how much?

There like $47.00 a piece. You have to register on the sight to get the best price. Also make sure you get them from the us warehouse or it takes forever to get them.

I am running Gens Ace (Hobbypartz.com) 3s 5500mah 25C packs. They work great, and are cheap. I bought both two of them for around $43 a piece with FREE shipping. Great deal. I use these in my EDF jets and they have worked really well so far. I only have 1 pack that had a bad cell after 7 cycles, which sucks, but again their prices cant be beat on Lipo's....

i run gens ace lipo on mine 2x 2s 5000mah 50c. i get a good run of 35-40 mins with my ERBE and not sure with my boat yet. next to buy 2x 3s.

I have been using the Sky Lipo brand and they have served me well, 3s and 2s @ 5000 mah 40c.
The reason I stay with the same brand, mah and burst rate is to allow me to mix batteries. I like running 5s in my E revo as well as on occasion in the Spartan. You can mix batteries as long as they have the same mah and burst rating.
