What Chev truck body fits the best on the Stampede 4X4?

Does anyone know of any others? I know that Proline has a 50's body that I like but I've heard that it doesn't fit the Stmp 4x4 very well.

I have the 1950s one on my pede and looks sweet but do not go by the proline dimples on the body.

    THIS!!
I bought the Raptor body, and the rear mounting holes are in the wrong place. They are in such a position that i can hardly get the body pins in.

So the 50's body fits well on the Pede 4X4, just make your own holes for the posts?

Do you fit the body and put the mounting holes in before you paint?

I assume you mark the outside of the body?

I mark, and drill before painting, that way you won't risk damaging the paint. Yes you mark outside of the body.

Do you tape over the holes or just spray?

Personally I just spray. You leave the outer wrap on till you're finished so shouldn't be a problem.
When I put the 50s chevy on mine I had to trim the sides of the body mounts offotherwise the posts on front couldn't come through the holes.

    Are your body mounts lowered?

I have the suspension on mine set pretty stiff. When I run trenchers on it I get serious rub making hard turns at higher speeds. It hasn't hurt anything but the noise is VERY annoying. I don't have my body lowered either.

Wouldn't the steel posts that you are using make the body sit lower than stock? I thought there was a thread about that mod.

I was still running stock tires when I got my early 50s body and I couldnt even use it. I got aluminum wheel hexes that happened to be twice as thick as stock and that was enough to make tires not rub!

It likes to rub a bit but the way I thrash they don't last long and as for the orange I just did another Raptor which after trying most of proline's bodies is bye far my fav as far as durability and tire rub are concerned.
