I am 100% new to R/C and have recently purchased an E-Maxx Brushless, model 3908. My first impressions are:
HOLY CRAP -- This thing is a blast !
My backyard is three acres of flat mowed prarie-grassland and this thing is the perfect toy. I bought a pair of spare Nimhs (3000mAh) , an Onyx 245 charger and today a pair of 2S 5000mAh Lipos. The Lipos rock !
At the risk of being thought of as a whiner : I am a bit frustrated by the user manual ( for a 3903 ), an addendum to the manual, and an included "drivers ed guide" from Castle-- Between the three of them I still don't seem to have an accurate description of exactly what's under the hood.....but I'm slowly figuring it out.
Anyways, I was wondering if there are some recommended parts that are more prone to breaking that I should acquire ahead of time OR even just immediatly replace with something sturdier ? At this point I don't want to jump into a full rebuild, but I also want to minimize any down time. I've crashed several times, and although everything has held together, I'm sure its just been luck !
So, whats the best thing for me to do, wait until something breaks and fix it or prepare ahead ?
