Esc mamba monster Die

Hello I was walking with my e-revo 4s 5000mAh 40c batteries when the car in a straight signal lost kept walking for about 40 meters up to.
I ran into fleece and a smoke filled account, removed the bubble and the esc was a lot of smoke coming out the photos look WHAT will be esc which occurred at 4 months of use.

Mine went into flames!! castle sent me a new one free of charge. It even had a pre paid return label for me to send back the old one. The only problem is that it took 6 weeks from when it happened to get the new one.

Hard to say what the cause is....sometimes the capacitors fail, a foreign metal object might have gotten inside it and shorted it, or one of the components on the pcb might have failed....looking at your pictures it appears the positive battery lead desoldered from the board so it could have been as simple as a small piece of metal falling in there and bridging to a negative trace...just guess's though.

I always put a few layers of heatshrink at the base of the +/_ leads to close up that gap between the wires and the case as much as possible...I also put heat shrink on the motor female bullets so nothing metal can lay across those and short it out.

Already tried a lot and talk about some ripple lipo, this problem will be if it had before the capacitors esc solve? I think the probability of there and drop a metal and void because the car was all closed and did not find any strange thing inside the esc and not outside but its response and considerable.

I was using two batteries of 5000mAh 2s ***** 40c 4s in series in total.

I put one ***** in my 1/16 revo yesterday. Fresh out of the box and then balanced and my esc went up in smoke immediately...

How long did you have the batteries?
