I see alot of people ditching the second steering servo and just going with one. Why is this?

Then you don't have to adjust the steering linkage on one servo to match the other, just so that the truck goes straight, its much easier and the servos won't push against each other eventually destroying one or both servos. It also reduces few grams of weight and your receiver battery will last a little longer.

I just ditched my dual servos for one metal gear servo around the same torque and more speed. I should have done it a long time ago. Works really well.
One shot.....One kill, no exceptions
Why did they make them with 2 servos to begin with?
The revo was designed to be a racing truck I guess the idea was to give more power for steering but it ended up that most racers would remove the 2 servo for one stronger one.
I wanted to put a really cool signature but I ran
What servo do most people swap on there revo? I have one I bought used. It has a bad tranny and I am working on replacing other stuff as I get the tranny back working. I want to do just little up grades to make it better all around. I want to race this truck so keep that in mind.
Savöx servos at AMainHobbies, good quality servos for reasonable price!I was looking at that servo, which had full aluminium case and metal gears, and sooo much torq
I was also looking at that servo that most use as steering servo, but I'm going to use it as throttle/brake

^^^ why would you want 277 oz~in @ 6v....other than why not??,lol
Keep in mind Traxxas uses 25t spline servo arms, others use 24t.
I do believe Savox uses 25 as well.
You could buy 5345x or just mod/fab something yourself. Have fun man!!!

Is there a cheaper servo that will work?
i was also looking to go with a single servo, would the traxxas 2075 servo be enough?
When switching to a new servo most at least double the original 2s power. So example the traxxas servos are some where in the realm of 125 inoz of torque to move the massive tires so you want one servo that is at least 250 inoz of torque to match stock. Also most people got with more power if your gonna go with 1 servo why not a good strong and powerfull one that has over 250 inoz of torque. I use a hitech hs7955tg its strong and fast it has some where in the realm of 333 inoz of torque at 6v. Go with some type of metal gear for durability.

thank you for the response, could you send me a link or two to some decent servos?
This is what I am using and check out servodatabase.com there are hundreds to chose from.

Is there a cheaper servo that will work? I don't have $100 to spend on a servo.
