I'm digging the quality of the photography that accompanies the majority of posts on the Summit forum! I really liking the action shots, but I also like the composition of the still shots as well. Great pics & locations!!
Awww, Mannn. Your killing me. I really miss my summit now![]()
jungletreker, afol2524, Mayberry Kid... thanks
hauler... sorry you miss yours, it's gonna be a great Summit summer![]()
aw man no summit isnt as bad as having the summit but living in the middle of a city with no where to play with it. so it ends up just sitting there with the look as to say why are you doing this![]()
Hey would you be able to list the part numbers you used to put the wheelie bar on. thanks
So I went rock crawling with some scalers over the weekend and... stripped the left steering servo gears after my first rock(althought this was my first broken part after 7 weeks of ownership the gears stripped without any warning and the wheels were not under stress... not happy about Traxxas reliability
and I've crawled these rocks before no problem)
Bubba sitting on the rocks watching others play
This XJ was trying to crawl Bubba's tires but he was having no part of it

Awww... That first pic of your last post looks so sad...
Sent from my iPod touch using Tapatalk.
Slash VXL, Rally VXL, and Stampede 4x4 VXL.
Same thing happened with my servo. I called traxxas and they sent me a new one.
Stampede VXL, Stampede 4x4, Rustler VXL
just upgrade the servo and be more confident with them (and avoid this from happening again).
i agree, bubba looks sad sitting in time-out! hahaha
Brushless Summit -SOLD- :`(
currently RC-less...
With servo gears replaced, it's time to for another excursion

snowslider, thanks
craig.mitch316, yep Axials and X'sthey weight 4 ozs more than stock tire and wheel combo each. Overall performance they provide better grip, especially low and medium speed with bigger rooster tails. At high speed theres more stability due to harder compound, the canyon AT's tend to fold more.
˄˄˄...very nice mate.
I'm a Rock n Rolla !
Ordered myself a set of those rims...quiet costly;I'll be running the Trenchers on mine.

Christmas came early for BubbaThis round of mods I had three goals: new body, moar leds aka CHMSL, and wing. I don't do much steep crawling these days but more medium speed hooning and wanted a racer look. For those interested in mirror chrome I don't wish this endeavor on my worst enemy LOL
Mirror chrome doesn't stick well to lexan, chips off easily and reveals every flaw. I backed it using mirror chrome backer and it helps a little. I also taped areas that get high wear to preserve the chrome. Overall this paint is expensive and not durable so I wanted to get as many good pics before it gets thrashed. Any scratches show up twice, once on the lexan and once on the reflection

Minutiae: I used all traxxas lighting components ie wiring harness and tail light set (2 of the six leds fire downward from inside the body, I built a blacked out light box to block the light from straying thru the body. Same idea for the shroud behind the light bar. I don't see light from behind. Wing is from a 'competing maufacturer' it's thinner nylon but I perfer the shape over the erevo. Finally I refurb the exo cage by sanding down scratches and finishing with black shoe polish. Since replacement summit bodies do not come with door handle stickers I made my own using misc parts (tail gate too), everything is screwed down, no sticky tape, surprisingly the body with all fittings = lb, 2oz

Nice build. I like how many pictures you include! Also I really like the chrome body!![]()
