    My MERV BUILD

I just got in my used MERV roller from spicecars and man is this in bad shape. Well no biggie I plan on replacing key parts on my MERV except the motor and esc. So far I've gotten the basic upgrades in today which are

RPM Front and Rear A-Arms lower and upper set.
    TRA7138X
    TRA 7118X
Cooling Fan for my esc (still trying to find a way to get it mounted nice and clean)
    INTEGY Motor Heat sink w/fan

    Waiting in the mail
Pro-Line Dirt Hawg Tires Mounted Titus Wheel 2.2" part# 1071-13
Pro-Line Desperado 2.8" 4 Rear Rims (since the front ones won't work so I bought 2 rears ones lol)

    Soon to purchase
    Pro-Line Road Rage Tires 2.8" part# 1172-00
    TRA7151X
    TRA7250R
    TRA7014
Big Bore Shocks ekotex (Cancelled the order for now)
Lipos ( any suggestions would be appreciated and I'll be running stock motor for now)
HR Aluminum Steering Knuckles part# VSX2101

Am I missing anything else that needs to be upgraded let me know here. I just want to say I'm a complete noob in regards to RC and I'm still learning. Thanks everyone!

I would go for gh or gpm knuckles, boost batteries, few different pinion gears and a temp gun to keep an eye on it

Oh ya with those big tires a few sets of Traxxas 7152's slipper clutchs for spares. Maybe rocker bearings #5124. 80wt shock oil and heavier springs

Why 2.8s? That is awful big for these little cars man, 2.2s are the norm.

+1 on shimming your diffs, heres the thread on it:

HR is a hit or miss kind of chance, I would wait for GH (first choice) or GPM to be in stock.

You'll be happy with HR. They have alum.set screws with a very fine thread which adjusts a little better. The rubber o-ring will shed some when you install them. The delrin cups are seperate and can be ordered seperately as well. Useful when running oversized foams on asphalt as mine compacted the cup some on the GH. Still testing the HR.

Update HR Knuckles, ESC fan, and 2nd 2080 servo installed.

My ESC fan had to ghetto strap it lol I tried using the screws but the fan is to big for all 4 screws to mount on so this will do for now.
    [IMG][/IMG]

HE steering knuckles I'm actually happy with these.
    [IMG][/IMG]

Installed my 2nd 2080 servo I had lying around might as well put them to use. Some say putting two servos on they both compete with each other but thank god I haven't come across that issue yet.
    [IMG][/IMG]'

Now I've got a few more things to get
    -big bore shocks
    -steel constant velocity drive shafts
    -center differential
-steel constant velocity center drive shafts
    -Pro-Line Body

I should be good to go once the rest of the parts are purchased and installed.

Thanks 50togo you've always been very positive and nice. Now I need some advice on painting the body. As you can see I sanded the inside down. I want to put decals on it any suggestions? Do I put the decals inside then paint over it?

Thank You! Wow, its not that expensive. But shipping the body international is, mhm.

I noticed the sides are a lot more covered down low on the front with this body. Might be a good choice for people runing their wires out of the front of the battery compartments. More side protection.

Shipping took 5 days for me to get which isn't bad at all.

I tun these YR DP-1001Ti shox. Unbeatable value imho, considering they come with 3 different spring sets and three different pistons included for only $23 ex shipping. You need to fab yout own mounting solution though.
