    Battery Suggestions?

Looking to get battery suggestions. I would really like a 7-8 cell hump style nimh battery to slap on my stampede vxl, but 2 batteries also sounds tantilizing...
here are some i found: any suggestions?

Some might say otherwise, but most(not all) NiMH batteries are all the same. I had a Venom pack a while back that stuck out to me! It lasted a while and had a lot of punch. Either of those would probably be fine, but I have no experience with those brands personally. I plan on upgrading to LiPos soon for many reasons, though...

Never had one... other than the mini 7.2V 1200MaH NiMH's, which I've had three of and I am currently NOT impressed by the Traxxas batteries to be honest. Other people might have had other experiences, though...

oh look this thread is still open, lol

I use to have 4 of the 7 cell 8.4v 3 series packs that I used in my crawlers and LOVED them; never had any issues, and the fact that the EZPeak charger could charge them in 45 minutes was awesome, considering they'd give me almost a full hour of run time in the crawler, so I could literally go non stop all day with the truck, assuming nothing else broke

all NiMH packs are not created equal. stay away from the super cheap ones that seem too good to be true, because chanced are they are

Traxxas has the Best Customer Support around. I have always bought their stuff. One time I bought a pack and it was bad, they replaced it quick and free.

All my Traxxas batteries are awesome! My friend has to change his pack 2-3 times when we are bashing, and I last the whole time on one 3000 mAh 7-cell stick. About a good 45 minutes or so of bashing. I can't imagine how long the 4200 or the 5000 mAh batteries would last.

I've had great success using the following battery sellers:
    Traxxas
    Venom
    Orion.

Now, I've not used a lot of Traxxas batts since they have not been out as long as I have been in the hobby, but I still have my original 5 cell hump pack Traxxas pack (about 5 yrs old). It's my backup. I've gone through others....
As far as NIMH batts, My best experience has been with Orion packs. My worst was with these called Dreadnaught battery packs from Epic... They said they were NIMH batts, they weren't they were Nicads...... After they started to fail I took them apart to find this out. Stamped on the cells themselves Nicad, when heat shrunk they labeled them NIMH. No wonder the price was so cheap!!!
