    New member from Maryland

Hi everyone. I recently joined the forum after purchasing a used E Revo brushless. This truck is fantastic!!!!!
The truck came with RPM suspension arms front and rear, and red aluminum pushrods. Installed was a
Mamba Max pro, and an HPI Alphastar 2350 KV Brushless motor. Took out the mamba max pro and installed a new Mamba monster. Truck is geared with a 60T Robinson metal spur gear/ slipper clutch, and 22T pinion. Is this gear set up common ? I want it to be fast but reliable, so any recommendations would be
appreciated. Running the truck on 6S Lipo's. On paved road I've been using proline Road Rage tires (taped), but off road bashing I use Trenchers. I've broken 3 rear axles in 1 week every time I go off road and do jumps etc. I'm
Guessing that the Trenchers are too heavy, so I might get a smaller off road tire.
Treated the car to a new HPI Hemi Cuda body.
Here are a few pics and a video of my favorite RC

Thanks for the heads up. I will definately watch temps. The ESC stays cool, but the motor gets hot. I'm prepared to get the
Castle 2200 if this one goes bad. But so far it handles what I dish out.
So what is the ultimate or best gearing setup for the brushless Revo?

welcome newboobie...looks good, gearing is not to bad, but as you know things run a little hot with the 2/3s..
    What size of 3s batts?

A temp gun is kind of a must have.....

Hot motor + cool esc = under geared.
Cool motor + hot esc = over geared
    Everything warm just right..

Motor ~ 180/190*F (82/88*C) maximum, ideally 140/160*F (60/71*C), temps can be 10*F higher inside the motor
ESC ~ pretty much same temps / Fan comes on @ 150*F (65*C)
    Lipo's ~ 140*F (60*C) max, ideally 100/120*F (38/49*C).........

change the cell count, spur & pinion count, & tire size.

Great looking truck...before you spend anymore money on stock axles get some summit axles the stock ones just will not hold up.The gearing question will vary depending on the wheel and tire combination. The trenchers are big and heavy so will require lower speed gearing...smaller pinion and larger spur than what you use on road tires

That sounds good. Let's set it up. I though I found a place for us to go to here:

    http://www.rctrack.com/

I planned on giving them a try Friday morning, but I called for more info and they said E revo is too big. They only allow 1/10 or smaller on this track

I live in northern Virginia and am always looking for other revo guys to race with in my area. Currently, I have to race with the e-truggys and would love to see a mt class return locally. Let me know if your interested in checking out one of the tracks I run at around this area or anything you might want to try out?

Thanks. I try to keep it clean. I use a compressor to blow the chassis after every run.
Check out my Tamiya TA05 VDF gold. This thing is really neat and clean.

Put a little wd40 on the rusty screws in the erevo, that will make the rust come off

Lol! It's a drift spec vehicle. Takes a skilled driver to move this thing through a drift track. Driving it has enhanced my RC skills. Tires are smooth for less traction, and motor is mounted up front which makes it very stable and balanced through a drift. Very
Rare car. They were only available in gold for 2011.

Brewers, thanks a million for the Summit axle tip! I bought a set and drove the car like I stole it today. I was really rough with it. Back flips, speed runs with sharp turns flipping truck into rolls, driving up tree trunks shooting truck into the tree branches.
After 30 minutes of my madness nothing was broken. I held a 30 foot wheelie and heard a high pitched squeal. Thought I broke something but after a thorough check and a test drive truck was good to go
