Whats 3c balancing charge mean, how many amps

I have 2s lipo 5500 mah 7.4 volts

so your lipo can charge at 5.5 amps. 3c means how many continous amps you can run at a time so take 5.5x3 and thats how many amps you can charge your battery tops.. 1c means you can only charge at 5.5 amps 2c = etc etc

you can charge your lipo at 16.5amps which is very high. your lipo will be charged in like 15-20mins which is very fast but if thats what the lipo says then its ok.

On another note can give support on a non traxxas lipo other than C charge rate info i think or i could be wrong and you cant help with even that info

i just take the time for a charge more of a trickle charge than quik charge

One thing that has not been mentioned yet...

If you are charging at high(bigger than 1 c) rates. You absolutely positively must be in the room every second.

forgot about that rag6 thats why there are others that will have input thats what great about these forums when one forgets something the other person remembers. agreed on that for sure about charging.

Do faster charging rates "hurt" the battery? In other words, is it harder on, or does it affect overall lifespan of a battery by charging it faster?

If so, then one should use the 1c rate unless a faster charge is absolutely necessary... right?
