Motor/ESC Died

So today my motor froze up after about 2mins of running and fried up my esc. Luckily it didn't start a fire. I've had this truck for around 2 months now. So when I call traxxas, monday and tell them my problem, how do they know how long I had the rc (warranty) without a receipt.

So the motor spins but it almost like its locked. The pinion gear spins only when I really twist it. I took off the body and the esc was smoking.

I've owned a rustler vxl, revo vxl, ken block vxl....never had a problem....never
So naturally this shocked me and now my Pede has to sit and wait for a new motor/esc

How long will I have to wait for a replacement?
Do they send me a box, to ship it out. Or do i box it and ship it myself. Only reason I ask is because when my cel phone died. I got the box with the new cell phone and shipping instructions on how to send back the broke one along with a shipping box

Call them. They will fill you in on everything you need to know.

i sent in my motor and esc on 4/17. traxxas received it 4/19, and had the replacement shipped out to me on 4/20.

Maybe I will be proven wrong but Traxxas has never been anything but excellent to deal with for me. Talk to em man.

I've sent in several for replacement. You shattered the magnet and the feedback from the motor stopping fried the esc. I've done that myself. You have to package it yourself. About $5 to ship USPS. About 10-14 days to get it back from once you send it in

Thanks for the info Strykeviper. Did u need a receipt, how do they know when you bought it

or is there a serial number somewhere

Serial # is in the battery tray.
