Traxxas Ez-Plus Question.....Help!

Okay I've been looking through the forums and I'm still confused.

I'm looking at this traxxas charger:

and it says it can charge LiPo...But than you can buy these "Balancing Boards"

So if I buy the Charger do I need these boards. Are LiPos that much harder to use. NiMH NiCD packs seem so much easier.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have the Traxxas ez peak plus charger also.

As long as you select "balance" charge and use the board that came with the charger, that is all you need to keep the packs running well.

Run them? Than Balance?

What are the Steps when using Lipos? Like I said my other Battery Packs are super Simple.

Those adapters (balance boards) are only needed if you want to DUAL charge Lipo batteries at the same time. Out of the box, the EZ-Peak Plus can charge one battery at a time - those adapters add dual Lipo charging functionality. Just make sure you buy the right adapter for the type of Lipo's you have (2s or 3s).

FYI - those adapters do NOT work for Nimh.
