I took my slash to the skatepark and had no grip, so I need pavement tires , what kind?

You could try some anachondas from traxxas or street fighters from proline

Not sure how grippy the SCT version of trenchers are but they're incredibly grippy in their 2.8 monster truck size.

any street tire should give you enough grip at the skate park. i might do the same thing.
The traxxas s1 tires from my platinum worked great on wood. They are softer than the normal tires. The one thing I like about them in this environment, is they absorb much more off axis landing punishment compared to all other sc rims because of the way that the outside bead is made.

You might loosen the slipper a bit in this environment too.
Are you driving on wood or concrete? My local skate park is all concrete. I usually get pretty good traction on my stockers.

metal ramps you have no chance you need suction cups on the wheels, move your suspension on the arm at the rear to the
2nd hole out
Yep depends what the surface is. If its the real slippery smooth concrete that a lot of parks use then I don't think ANY kind of tire will give you much good grip.
Sting like a butterfly and punch like a flea, jack
I get better grip with my Pede and the talons but probably because the tire is wider, so you'd expect better traction.

It is concrete, real slick

i think it is the park and not your tires, what tires are you using?![]()
All I need now is to set a new lap record.
I use Trenchers on splitsix wheels @ a concrete skate park . Stock Talons on my pede . Both seem as good as you will get - that concrete is usually slick .
Not to argue here but I get great traction at my local park with stock tires. We have metal ramps but I just make sure I'm up to speed when I hit them. We also have a concrete hip and bowl and I have no problem on them.
The harder I bash, the more I can upgrade.
street tires will give you the best grip at the skate parks. proline makes the street fighters for short course wheels and if you want even more traction you can run some stampede wheels with 1/10 truck tires (cause they are wider) like the proline streetfighters, road rage, road hawg 2, and speed hawg. any of those street tires should give you more traction then any other off road tire.
Get some traction compound, soak them a little, ziplock them the night before getting all the air out, and mount them at the park. The stockers will work better than before. You could try that before spending money on a full set of tires. The traction compound will def help whatever tires you buy.

I just put a pair of Street Fighters from proline on my truck today and I was SHOCKED by the grip it had over stock tires. I couldnt spin the thing out!
nice. there you go. enjoy. get some videos. lol.
How about hard foam street tires? I get pretty good grip with them on the street.

Due to council regulations around Australia we are not allowed tire compounds chemicals like that kids play on grass etc and even cement and the parks if they get it in their mouth it can be a very bad thing. shread a peice of tire

Do you have simple green cleaner? You can use that on the tires, and while it is not as good as the traction compounds, it does soften up the tires. You could also experiment with things you are allowed to use. Some of the traction compounds are environmentally friendly so you could check into that also.

proline street fighters have worked well for me on just about all hard surfaces i have ran them on, proline badlands are also supprisingly grippy on all terains.
