    Welcome to the forum!
Aluminum bulkheads would be great as long as you don't get integy. They are know for making horrible products.
The rpm arms that you have are great, so keep those.
Maybe rpm knuckles (bearing carriers) would be good too...I broke one of mine. Rpm shock towers are also good.
The 2.4ghz radio/reciever should drop right in with no mods. Make sure you get the 3 channel one so you can still shift.
For waterproof electronics, you need the new evx-2 esc (the blue one), upgrade both your servos to blue waterproof ones (preferably 2075 servos), and a waterproof reciever box for the rx.
The stock driveshafts on the 3906 (the one you have) are made of very soft plastic so you could upgrade those to the newer style ones from the new Tmaxx classic..they fit right on and seem to be beefier than the stock ones. (The ears are a little wider and the metal piece is a tiny bit bigger if you look closely). They are longer be cause they are meant for the new wide style arms but they are still just short enough to fit.
Other than that there isn't much more you can do to it. I have the same truck you have only I have the new waterproof esc already...when and if I break something else I'm sure I'll post it here under the emaxx section.

    Welcome,
I use fleebay for the cvd's, But had to cut down the stock plastic wheel shafts to use in centre when i put new diff in. Don't throw out your old stock shafts.
Gears for tranny, steel idlers #3996x grind the width down slightly you'll see when you get them. But re use the original shaft for the new gear, it's shorter.
You can't get the metal 1st and 2nd gear no more.
everything you need to know is on this site, and been done. It's just a question of finding it.
Google "emaxxfaq" that will cover some stuff.
google traxxas 3906 pdf for maunuals, exploded views, part numbers.

I'd stick with the tsock plastic axles. The flex more which is a lot easier on your diffs.

I have the 3906 also I use new style diffs the 4910 or 2.5 t maxx 4 screws hold up well with Cvds i found on eBay ( search 14.4 volt shaft and u will find them) also I have the integy 7075 hd bulk heads and I do some HARD bashing and they have not broke yet. great assembly makes the best bulk heads IMO. And if u want to use Cvds and still go easy on ur drive train then loosen ur slipper a little

NO. the 3903/05/08 have a skinnier tranny. with some modifications, it can be done.

any maxx diff will fit in. with the pinion shaft of the new diffs might be shorter but a quick file down of the lip on the shaft fixes the problem of cup fitting on and screwing the grub screw in.
The stock shaft with lip on end.

The metal that had lip filed off.

I had to cut down the stock wheel shafts to use in centres because of the slightly shorter diff.
