I use E-maxx Shocks frotn and rear, with a large preload spacer, and set in the inner holes of the tower and arms.

Basically unless ur wanting to do some kind of custom riging just put bigger wheels and tires, some spring spacers, and taller body mounts. From experience stay with a 2.8 wheel if u have the stock motor system anything bigger will over heat very quickly. And for the spacers just make sure you're axels are not in a bind by adding to many. Hope that helps

sounds like you should just get a 4x4 Stampede. basically the same thing as a 4x4 Slash, just sits higher, lol

I agree with SuperBleeder. The Slash 4x4 is still a short course truck. I know some people do the monster truck conversions but it doesn't make too much sence to me. Go with a Stampede. If you're going to change the ride height on a Slash 4x4 - lower it for cornering and you'll love it - no need for the monster truck look. But thats just my opionion, whatever you're doing have fun with it.

the slash 4x4 mt is much more stable at high speeds and does not flip over backwards when you punch it. throw on some jato arms and you will have a machine that just wont quite. but in all honesty it doesn't really matter what you get. the bulkheads from each truck are the same which means you can swap out the chassis with the addition of a few more parts. very easy to do.
