    Wheel for Summit Canyon

This question has probably been answered before a few times, I guess my search skills need work. I got tons of info, but not a definitive answer to this question- What is a all black or black chrome wheel that would work with the stock Canyon tire? I like the tire but would love a different wheel that is not chrome like the stock. The wheel would be best if it had a 1/2" offset too, like the stock wheel.
Anybody know of a nice wheel or two that would fit the bill?

    How about this -
Pro-Line 3.8" Desperado Wheels with Traxxas Style Bead
Six spoke design, black in color
1/2" offset for the Traxxas Summit fans

Those will fit the stock Canyon AT tires? That's great, thank you. I didnt think they fit because I hear that Traxxas has a "offsize" tire or something. Thanks again. I think those also come in black chrome, sweet.

I know I have a bunch of questions and confusion. I think we should have a wheels/Tires fitment thread stickied with pictures like a lot of automotive forums have. It think that would help us tire newbs figure out what we want and what fits.

^+1 good idea. I'm pretty happy to find this info. Now I think I know what I will order.
PavementSurfer, that is exactly the look I want as far as wheels/tires. Yours look great. what foams did you use? Stock or proline?

Why don't you just use oven cleaner and remove the chrome from the stock Geode rims. You don't even have to take off the tires and it will cost like 3 bucks

I used stock foams. I bought the tires and the wheels new and mounted them myself. I also think they look sweet. Ill be un-mounting them soon to put the tires on a set of axial beadlocks. I like that the headlocks are heavier, which is a bonus for crawling, not at all for bashing. But this setup as really nice for the time I used it.

Thanks for the suggestion. I want to have a couple of different tire and wheel combos. Sometimes I like the look of the chrome Geode wheels. But I also would like a set of different wheels for them. The cost is extra yes, but I don't mind so much.

AK49 Traxxas Bashr - Oven cleaner takes the chrome off? Interesting. Any specific kind you need to use? What is the process for that, just spray it on?

Easy off heavy duty in yellow can. Just spray on and let it sit for an hour or so. Wash off what you can then repeat process until
the chrome is gone. It also will remove the annodizing off the aluminum parts as well. YouTube it.

Easy-Off, yellow can. Spray on, wait, wipe chrome off. Rinse thoroughly. Use caution: that stuff is nasty. Eye protection and gloves are not bad ideas.
I know they're having their break there by your brake drums. No, you're not invited.
