Thinking about a Spartan (Snap on edition)

Local craigslist deal, guy has had this boat on forever so I don't think it's going anywhere. He started at $550, now its down to $450. I am going to call him and make an offer. It's brand new, never used. As I understand it, this edition has some upgrades over the "stock" version? Is this true? And I have read that the overheating problem is solved now that the Spartan uses Castle electronics. I hope I can make this happen. I have a perfect small lake not 300 yards from my front door.

The overheating issues are not as much an issue as the were on the first generation electrics, provided you stay stock or close to it with prop selection.

An aluminum cooling jacket and minor modifications to the cooling loop are still recommended even with the new electrics.

The Snap On Spartan was a limited edition release distributed by Snap On as a promotional item. Not sure how many were produced, but there are a few around.
