    BL, lipo. Together.

    Then 32 pitch gears.

    Then big bore shocks.

Then.... RPM parts in whatever you break.

One of the best thing I did was put windshield butyl in the diff mixed with a little grease. Around corners the inside tire lifts up and looses traction so doing this makes it work like a limited slip posi and you keep pulling through the corner.

The vxl system is good and castle systems are also very good.
RPM in whatever you break except the casters. Adding on to what ducati said.

I am a newb to RC and I also have the slash a 2wd. I'm just curios as to why switch to 32p gears? I got a method r Orion 15t and I'm having heat issues with the motor. Would dropping the pitch help? I just ordered smaller pinioned and spurs to experiment with. I would also like to know what should I upgrade to make a mean dirt racer. And what is BL?

The 32p gears are probably less prone to stripping not sure just a guess. Adjusted properly your stock gears shouldn't have a problem. BL is short for brush less. If your having heat problems gearing can help and check for binding and just a tad clearance between the pinion and spur so they don't bind.

There is No binding goin on I have tried all I can until I get smaller gears. I have the timing on the motor down to 0 with 16/86 gearing using 8.4v 3000mah batts. I make about 15-20 mins and the motor is 170degF almost. Thanks though

I never bothered with the shocks

    Titanium shafts when rear bent

STRC caps on Shocks cause they were popping the cap off as it flexs

Now have all RPM arms and Skids the shock position holes wore out scre levered its way out
had an IDea to strengthen it for RPM and stock il get around to making it soon.

Oh and the Proline chassis saver rear end is nice.

Titanium shafts my rear steel shafts bent the first day out and I didn't run hard at all. titanium shafts hadn't had a problem yet.

TRX alloy casters 1++++ . RPM bumpers and low profile wheelie bar . strange no one mentioned the alloy steering linkage - I want that one . Proline protrac kit will help the suspension out big time .

Solid steering Bellcrank alloy yes for racing maybe but for Bashing maybe not a good choice to use alloy it puts stress on other parts and breaking 1 plastic piece from a hard hit is ok i guess but destroying a Nice alloy setup and the surrounding parts CRINGE NOW!.

For me I like to Scrutinise over a basher drive til it breaks then upgrade but to a degree certain areas i avoid Solid parts like Alloy or Steel on:

Arms "Good hit here and your bent and up for another set if you like 1 spare 1 bent."
Hubs "The bearings do a Wonderful job on these fellas slopping around the bearings wear it "
Skids "Bashing You turn them into what looks like poorly sand papered metal They don't flex back from 30 ft of AIR"
Bumpers " Transfers most of an Impact into parts mainly MOUNTING HOLES AND WILL SHREAD"
The chassis "Don't wan't to hit a Kid with a Metal RC if he decides to play catch"
Never broken one would look nice when the wheels are off any benefit to a basher having them TRX Casters.
