What is a new - still in the box - Revo 5304 (2008 Platinum Ed) worth?

Hi,

I posted my brand new 2008 Platinum Edition Revo in the market place yesterday, only to have it quickly pulled by a moderator (I did not include a price...). It was suggested to put out a 'feeler' thread for the value and so I am doing this here and now.

Yes, it is brand new. Still in the box. Never been outside, never had fuel in it, even the plastic bag is still sealed.....

Compared to new ones, I think mine is lacking: Radio and receiver, reverse, Optidrive, ez-start. Am I missing something?

So..... what do you think. How much I should post it for?

They were on ebay a few years ago but now their hard to find I would say you should be able to get what you paid for it which was around $750.00. No you're not missing anything the platinum revo didn't come with Radio/ receiver, reverse, Optidrive, or ez-start

platinum revo was never 750... it was around 595 the most back then (works at a hobby shop)... so i would say around 500 to 550 now.. seeing that the racing class is dead... the avg. joe won't need the features that it comes with

The Revo Platinum has a bump start only engine so you might want to mention that in your ad. Just in case the buyer isn't aware of that.

The were 700 around the Buffalo area in '08, but yeah, 500-550 today.

It's worth what someone is willing to pay. That truck has all the hop up parts from traxxas and is set up to race already...thats not lacking at all!

I think 700 with an "O.B.O". Would be a good start

Well, Kombe, mine was $500 a few months ago.....but yeah, in '08 the locals in my area were asking 700+.
I recovered about $200 by selling the 3.3 and other goods on ebay, then put on some hop-ups. Some stuff was bought new and I had a few other goodies already on hand. I currently have about $525 invested into what is basically a decked out 5309.....being that it's forward only with a pullstart.

OP, I like the idea of asking about 650 to start, because you never know.

The local hobby shop in Fallon was asking $750.00 which I think was the manufacturer suggested retail price at that time. I say put it on ebay with a starting price of $600.00 and a buy it now for $750.00 I wouldn't be surprise if someone grabs it up before the auction ends.

in 08.. the hobby shop where i worked at was selling for 595... they must have missed the bus on that one.

Your hobby shop just wasn't greedy like all the ones in my area lol.
