So as I've said i'm new to rc all together, and i'm trying to learn as much as possible earlier on to make appropriate intelligent upgrades to my rusty. i'm trying to figure out gearing to decide what would be right for me. I like bashing on dirt, pavement, and soon track. my theory is the spur and pinion are maybe like bicycles, the pinion gear is similar to a sprocket on the rear wheel and the spur gear is similar to a chain ring on the crank. So is pinion for immediate changes and spur is for long term changes in acc. and top end? If anybody understands my relation could you inform me if i'm correct or far from
