    XO-1 4x4 truck

ok so the xo-1 is based on slash 4x4 tech with basically a revo power plant. I plan to get a roller on ebay and build a nice 1/7 scale basher truck. any ideas on what body would fit? has anyone tried this yet?

Well you won't be able to go off-road. And there aren't any other 7th scale vehicles out there, so good luck on the body.

Well The first thing you would do is get Slash 4x4 shocks, or even better Losi 8ight shocks.

For tires 1/8th scale buggy tires would work and for a body I have no idea lol.

I like your idea, for giggles I had fit up with a set of 1/8 buggie wheels that would grip very well but I'd have to mod a few too many part's and it's still a novelty at the moment, I'll enjoy it a little before testing how good that "Cush" system is. Good luck.

Thats the thing though.... they released the truck version a long time ago. The XO-1 is just a stretched out Slash 4x4!

The driveline on the XO-1 is stronger, so if you really want an offroad XO, just swap the knuckles, driveshafts, and diffs over... and make a XO spec Slash 4x4....

may I add a few I played around with tonight, I hope to find a 12mm hex mod so I can run these trenchers. I also love the idea of things that could be done if this drivetrain is super strong, could this be the truck that can take the cen 7.7's, Lst shock's with raven springs, extended wheel base and a 1/5 scale body to suit, nice!!!!!

Guys, youre still dealing with a 1/10th drivetrain, that's weaker than the ERBE, a truck that you gotta go very easy with on 6s. Throw in no slipper and I don't have high hopes for a offroad xo on monster tires.

I did mine as a joke, it never drove like that.

Sorry, all the power and success to you guys in trying to make the XO-1 into a monster truck but I don't get it.

I dont plan a monster truck or running 6s on it, I plan on 3-4s. With the width and length, it would be a very stable truck with some proline trenchers. That beefed up slash drive line would work just fine assuming you program your punch not to tear apart, and you dont abuse it. Think outside of the box and have fun, it is a hobby after all. PS LOVE that off road vette!
