Storing my lipos with no storage mode?

Since the onyx 245 does not have storage mode can I just balance charge the battery and then drive my truck until the bec side gets to 3.85 v and then store them? Also I have a home made discharger that I made for my nimh that has a voltage readout and 3 or 4 12v tail light bulbs could I use this to discharge them to 3.85 which would be best thanks!

you can discharge the lipo in your truck but doesnt mean it will be even the voltage in each cell. i would get a charger with storage charge mode.

Just discharge/charge to 3.8-3.85v volts per cell. Check with a plain old volt meter.
