Ever since I got my summit I've been having fun with it. So much so that I never got around to taking it apart to clean/service it right(I do keep the driveline clean and motor lubed). I just kept saying to myself, "as soon as something major breaks, I'll tear it down and clean it properly." Well a year and a half and countless hours of mudding/crawling/bashing/trail'ing/snow bank smashing/you get the idea... later, that time has come.
I was on the rocks, the chassis was full of mud and the tires were full of water, I tried to use the steering to nudge the truck and a servo started clicking. Made it all the way back to the parking lot on one servo. Ended up being a strange failure that I will cover in another thread shortly.
Pulling out the electronics
Awesome, front motor bushing wopped out. I can't imagine why I always lube both bushings with 3 in 1 oil before every run. I wonder how long it was like this, the pinion/spur gears were just fine.
