So I called castle today to check on my repair. They don't have my parts in stock, he said hopefully 1-2 more weeks. Well i'm tired of waiting. Here is what I am thinking. I want to buy a new motor and esc and sell the factory motor and esc when I get them. I don't want to spend much out of pocket at the end of this. So what motor and esc would you recommend?

I put in Leopard 4082 1600kv motors in both my boats. They were 108.00 each and came with Leopard aluminum cooling jackets from OSE. I also installed Seaking 180amp esc's in both boats . These were 94.00 each. For just over 200.00 you can have a great set up. I sold both the stock motor and esc for more than 200.00 on the second boat. I upgraded the boat and made money.

I would recommend staying away from 2000kv unless you go with a bigger ESC than the 180,or, if you run 5s.

Also that particular motor is not workable because you need a smooth can to fit the water jacket.

so I got a package from ups yesterday. I was so excited since it was from Nebraska. I opened it up and it was just the motor, no esc!!! what am I going to do now?

Well maybe you will receive the ESC today....Or get some rubber bands for the prop LOL and wind er up......

so I just got another package. this box had a motor and esc. so I got 2 motors and 1 esc for some reason. I can finally get to boating. it took 2 months.

with the extra motor I want to put it in my nitro car. what esc should I get that's not water cooled?

You could use one of Castle's SV2 esc's that can handle up to 3s. Nitro to elect conversions can be a challange so do your research.....
