What should i get?????

Well, Its almost my birthday and i got a Stampede 4x4 not too long ago and i was wondering if I should get the castle SCT with 3800 KV motor for it or should I get a good lipo charger and 1 or 2 2s lipo. If so what is a good lipo charger with a TRX connector already soldered on and a good lipo battery to start with like something that is cheap. I looked at some chargers like the Traxxas EZ peak plus and its about $100 at my hobby store and i saw a venom charger that is $120 (Canadian currency) The reason why i want to get a new ESC is that the VXL 3s got fried in less than 2 weeks of getting the truck. Traxxas is currently shipping me a new VXL 3s with no charge and will arrive this coming week. I have read alot of bad reviews about the VXL 3s and want to get a better one that will last quite a while. I am currently running the stock battery and this duratrax battery which aren't too good

Someone suggested me this battery: http://www.spcracing.com/index.php?productID=59 I was wondering if it is good because $30 seems cheap. Nevermind shipping to Canada for that is $25...

Check out some gens ace lipos. Shipping to with them is very reasonable.

I recently got the EZ Peak 6 amp I love it's simplicity plus theirs Traxxas support which is why I chose it. I don't know what kind of charger your using now but personally I would prefer a couple of batts and charger before a motor esc upgrade.

SPC batteries are great. You can always request cheaper shipping (without tracking and/or insurance).

I was wondering if Venom Lipos are any good

and maybe when my VXL 3s comes, i can sell it for like $60-70 and sell the used velineon 3500 motor so i can get some money from that to buy the sidewinder combo

I would stay away from the venom lipos. Unless you're running 3s the vxl system ought to be good for you for awhile. Its just my 2 cents. But then again I'm not the unbox it and upgrade it type. The castle sct is awesome but the mmp 3800 can run 3s whereas the sct can't. Start with the good batteries like these guys said then do a motor package. Especially if you still have some warranty on your truck.

Running the 4x4 Pede on 3S with the 3800 is something which wont make the Sidewinder ESC happy. The Mamba Max Pro is be the best option to get the max out of the 3800 without ESC heat issues.

That battery will only be any good for about the stock electronics. it is only 20c.

I have a 2s from venom that came with my truck when I bought it and I have a 3s from venom both 5400mah 20c. My 2s is not puffed or anything and it usually comes way out of balance after I run it. It also takes much longer to charge than my 3s because of the balance issue. If you get a venom battery make sure to get a real traxxas connector soldered on it. Mine would trip the LVC immediately off the charger about 85% of the time before I had the traxxas connector put on it.
