Waterproofing NiMH Batteries?
Jus wondering if there's anything I need to do to waterproof the stock 1200 NiMH batteries. I've had other 1/10 7.2v batts fry from getting wet & would like to prevent these from doing the same.
I have driven mine in snow and water with the stock NiMhs without problems. If you like I suppose you could take some liquid electrical tape (found near the electrical tape rolls in big home improvement stores) and seal them where the wires come out of the cell pack.
Did you have the 1st gen Powercell (all red) or the 2nd gen (red & yellow) ? My first gen is the one that got wet and went
belly up the 2nd gens seem to have done fine thus far, but I figure I should seal em for good measure.
I believe they are 2nd gens as my truck was made in late 2011/early 2012
