    Tmaxx to emaxx

I have a tmaxx roller and I'm going to convert it to a emaxx. I have searched and did my research but I have yet to read about someone that has taken a emaxx transmission and mounted on the tmaxx chassis. I no it can be done so I'd like to hear from someone that has done it and what all it takes. I want to have good speed that's why I want the emaxx trans everything I've read with people keeping the tmaxx trans they haven't gotten over 30mph. So if someone can give me advise or send me a link Of the how to I'd appreciate it. Thanks guys

It probably bolts right in with little modification. I have an emaxx 3906 and the transmission looks like you could put it in many different cars.
I think you should use the tmaxx tranny because then you would have two speeds and reverse. Just make a motor m9ount plate. They're easy to make.

Everywhere that I have read they install a forward only gear and single speed mod. With a emaxx trans it won't have reverse?

Oh sorry yes of course it will have reverse. All emaxxs have reverse since they are electric.
    Silly me.

What of I use the old tmaxx transmission. Would that have reverse? It's the esc that controls forward and reverse isn't it? I've been thinking and to save some money I will prolly just use the tmaxx trans.

I think you can use the T-Maxx tranny but the one-way bearing has to be modded solid so it will have reverse. Also the two speed auto shifting would have to be locked into a gear, I think. I know most electrics don't use multi speed trannies and I think it's because they can't hold up to the torque. The other problem will be mounting the motor to the tranny.

I think the 3906 tranny will bolt in. It will be the easiest way to electrify the T-Maxx.

Electric motors pack a lot more torque than a nitro engine so you should consider upgrading accordingly.
Upgrade your diffs to EMaxx diffs or something comporable, and upgrade your driveshafts if you havent already.

When your plastic ones wear out put cvd's there also.
Any electric truck has reverse because the esc controls the direction of the motor.
Those motor mounts on that website look good, but I think you could make one yourself.

I would use steel cvds down the center too. If you have the later model 4910
driveshafts, those would probably work as well, the ealier model .15/ 2.5 models...no way
    They'd twist like pretzels

I did it on the fly last night harldy anytime at all. made a Block connector for brake and esc out of an Old RX, and the mount was from a storage shelf i had picked up a while back 19t pinion from a 4x4 slash and 52t spur from a random bag of tricks.

1 dremel for all and set of hex keys. piece of nice white cardboard
    '4X' 3mmx50mm '8X' 3mm nuts several washers '4X' Nylock nuts.

Quickest way get a screw the 4 bolts onto fueltank side line up you cardboard push it onto the nuts evenly to get the hole positions take off carboardgently and evenly,
you want about 60mmx60mm 50mm high the corner section of a Metal shelf was perfect for this combo square couple of lines from the high side where the motor meets gearbox

Measure 9mm down make sure its square

Sorry if thats nonsense to you guys Soooo many energy drinks.

Should I upgrade the differentials to the brushless emaxx ones? And should I swap to the brushless transmission? I may end up just swapping the chassis completely but haven't decided on anything yet.

Not sure what to replace yet will find out as different things break for different people and upgrading something because its there i see no point

I upgrade things that warp or pop open from bashing so many spur gears on the 3.3 and engine mounts the rear tie Rods for me need an upgrade and stock shocks need the Alloy caps i pop them open easy.

you guys could use a Flat Plat drill hole positions and bolt on a 3rd party motor mount I might do one up when i have some more $$

I think I've pretty much decided to swap the chassis and transmission to the brushless one. Trying to get one cheap from eBay. Also trying to sell the tmaxx chassis and transmission.

I would keep the aluminum chassi from the tmaxx, definitely more stronger than plastic chassis
