Racing starts tomorrow and I'm not ready.

I feel like a loser right now. I planned on racing my Slash this year and started converting my 2wd Slash to lcog, bought a set of tires and got 2 glued up, don't have the esc mounted, haven't rebuilt the shocks, don't have a custom body ready, haven't linked up the radio, haven't driven the truck since the STRC lcog conversion...

I planned to have the truck ready in plenty of time but other things got in the way.

I guess I'll be a spectator tomorrow at the Friday Night Races!!

Preparing for racing is more than just slapping together parts.... Takes time to get things dialed in... Be patient, there's always another race.....

I'd rather have my stuff dialed and ready to go then struggle on race day more than I already have to. It takes the fun out of racing and brings on stress... That's nolt what I paid for.... So take your time, sort of. Get it right, go practice and shake down that RC so you don't have any surprises in the future...

Well, racing has been cancelled 2 weeks in a row due to rain so it's given me a chance to do more work to the truck. Now I have it mostly together.

Here is a pic of the Slash fairly complete. I need to mount the esc and connect the receiver.

To show the lcog difference, here is a pic next to my stock Slash (disclaimer - the other Slash is converted to 17mm hubs and has buggy tires so it will be a little taller than stock):

Here is a tape measure next to both the STRC lcog conversion then the stock slash (with 17mm's)

Make sure you're getting full throw both ways on the steering servo. Mine was hitting when going forward so my turning in one direction was lousy. I had to hack out a chunk of the upper Rustler chassis. I also notched the lower chassis so I could get a hex driver on the screw in the servo saver.
