    dirty engine

Just picked up a old 1.5 engine with a 4 technology for $23.00 how do I clean the engine?
Soak it in something? Spray it? Any ideas

4 technology? I'm not sure what that is.
It's best to disassemble the engine and flush the inside out with WD-40.
You can use rubbing alcohol to clean the outside of the block, but do not use it for the internal parts.
    Hope that helps.

I like to take the engine apart and soak it in some old nitro fuel for a few days. Then I dry it out with my air compressor and use some light oil on the bearings. Works for me when my when I get an engine that is all gummed up. Just a thought.
