How many rc cars have the power that this one has? I guess you could do punch control but its just the nature of the beast. This thing has as much ponies as most store bought go carts

Lobby traxxas to give us torque limiting on the xo-1 just like the drag car has.

All the torque limiting and punch control settings are available via Castle Link I would start there and experiment until you find the set up that works best for you.

clean your tires with simple green and then let them sit. it softens the rubber that should help allot. Offroad racers have been doing this for years.
Man i need more than 50 characters.

Maybe you should post a video of how bad you are getting beat off the line so we can see where you need the most help?

gyro can really help in this situation too....

But I reluctantly agree with pops, link up the esc, bring in a ton of torque control, and go try again.

Remember to bring your laptop and programmer to the field, and get some practice in with that tiny radio box... cause you're going to be in and out of there a TON!

Has ipanema started making taller tires? Because our hands are tied with the XO, we cannot run "standard" sized tires on this.

I think so may have to give them a call I did hear about some adapter kit in the works... but a call to ipenema would clear things up...

also btw I run the wide setup on all 4s

I have gave up on trying to make this car into a drag racer.. Drag race is all I do!!

The motor has tooooo much power and the car has some weight too it!!

The tires are just no good when it comes to traction !!! The only reason the new funny car turns me off is because It uses the same tires!!

You can try a 2200kv which is want it want to try!! OR this 2400 that's in the drag car should be sweet in an XO 1

I know what its like man... I got to hear crap from the guys I run with because this can not keep up with cars half the price!!

It's enough to make me want to leave this hobby!!

I feel ya Racksteris. Those darn 1/8 buggy's and Ofna's are solid.

I think these tires on the dragster will be a good match with the smaller motor, lighter car and very little change in camber.

Has anyone tried running the wide tires in front and the narrow tires in back?

i would do some math here. how long is the strip what is average top speed and time taken. as the specs say the xo 1 does 100 in 5 seconds and you need 100ft so i would gear the xo 1 to do what the other cars are doing then work from that. but i wouldn't like the bill for all the replacement parts. as stress will take it's toll.
