    Traxxas 3s 5000mAh Biein wierd!!

I resantly bought 2 Traxxas 5000mAh LiPo's and the 1st cell on both are acting weird. I use them after break-in plug them into my balance charger and almost instantly the first cell is at 4.20v while the other 2 take there sweet time to catch up. Its both batteries but one more than the other. Just last night the voltage on all cells started going up and down 1st cell jumping anywhere between 3.85v to 4.35v the other 2 cells between 4.05v to 4.15v! I called Traxxas they said to test them on another charger or send them in. Don't know what to do, Please Help!!! My charger is a Venom Pro Charger!!

I stopped using my venom charger for that reason. I have since bought a dynamite passport and no issue. I would try a different charger first.

Get them on another charger. They should help you out with that at your lhs if you do not have access to another charger. If you put them on another charger and everythings normal, then junk your current charger as it is dangerous!

Thanks! It was because the power plug I was using was wearing out and the connection was starting to come apart at the Traxxas connector! I used a plug cord I never used and de-soldered the plug and reattached it to the Traxxas connector. You can not cut and re-solder the same wire. Hopefully if it happens to someone else they'll find this post and won't junk a perfectly goo charger!
