brushed to brushless conversion

hey all,
i bought a 1/16 summit brushed, hasn't been long(couple months) and the xl2.5 is fried, no reverse at all, thermal shut down after about two minutes, and the dreaded puff of smoke. so, i found a good price on the package vxl-3m and 380 velineon, and picked up a spektrum 2.4 ghz tx and rx while i was at it, also bought what i assumed would be the required parts to install, the instructions say the 380 will bolt rite into the stock motor mount but with mine this isnt the case (holes are no where close, or the motor mount i have is not the one included with the instructions) so what i'm looking for (still) is a parts list (directions would be a big +1 as well) to complete this upgrade. thanx for any info and input in advance

The two motors are too different to have the same mount.

Here is the parts list:
7077 Gear cover/Hardware
7090 Motor Plate
7060 Motor Mount

Basically, just pull and replace.

Be sure to check eBay, as the whole package can be bought cheap there... mine was $6 shipped.

ah i see, so my lhs only sold me 1/3 of the required parts, either he didnt have 'em or didnt know what i would need, either way its all good, cept the wait for the rest of the parts, but thats was the info i was lookin for, thanx Jimmy!

the spektrum 2channel rx (sr200 dsm) barely fits in the stock rx box. the antenna comes out the top as compared to the side like the stock rx antenna, looks like by the time i route it out of the box and into the tube i may only have an inch long antenna, think this is gonna be a problem? either way ill find out when i get it put together.

for the record my esc lasted just over 30days (maybe ten runs) so its falling (for the most part) into the other posts that i read bout the esc not being beefy enuf for the titan 550 and dual batteries (ran only in paralell) at least thats the way i'm leaning as far as the cause of the fried xl2.5 (i'm hoping traxxas will replace it)

otherwise the rest of the car is solid and a blast to drive, my son thinks he's cool cuz he's faster than my full size summit, lol
