    Bearing, Bearing, and Bearings.

After looking through some bearing options, I Just placed an order over a hundred bucks for Boca Bearing with 25% off directly from them
Anyone has luck with Boca Bearings?

The rear MIP has eaten up one of the rear carriers, and lead to a broken bearing which lead to a broken MIP (Lost the rebuilt kit of the mip).

A lot of people love the boca bearings. I am still using the stock bearings with good luck so far, but the boca green seals are on my upgrade list when I have the cash.

Sure. I get almost all my bearings from Boca, usually the economy 99¢ bearing 10-packs ($8.99 for 10 with free shipping, so 90¢ is more like it. )
They last a decently long time, some eventually getting gritty with hard use. For less than a buck each, I don't bother with maintenance - my time is worth more than that. I just chuck any that are not up to standards and replace with new bearings.

Note: I do my best to stay out of water and mud, so I can't comment on their performance in those conditions, but I can state that they last better than other bearings I have used, some many times the price.
I know they're having their break there by your brake drums. No, you're not invited.

I've never heard of this company until now so thanks for the heads up. I wouldn't mind investing in some but I can't find any that are as cheap as 99 cents.

Can you please provide a link?

Boca is great they also sell on eBay. I buy my bearings from boca or avid. Both are great bearing suppliers.

Ok, So I realized that I can save lot of $ by ordering the kits instead. So I called and cancelled the order on the phone with No problem (Less than 40 seconds waiting time )

So here is how i search and re-order:
Bearing Application --> Model Search :RC Cars & Truck Bearings, Traxxas Slash 4x4 Platinum
Kits are from $20 to over $250. I ordered the off road kit for $75 after 25% off - "Ceramic Lightning Yellow" #58-205C-YS

Ron, The cheap stuff is on the "Sales" tab.

The issue I have with some of the the kits is that some bearings never go bad, and also I have multiple vehicles that use some of the same bearings. It is cheaper and more efficient for me to purchase 10-packs.

My lhs carries these bearings in stock for 1.25$ a piece. I can't go wrong! It's a bargain with these bearings. They last a long time compared to the stock ones.

    Ok, I am just confused...

Can anyone tell me exactly how many of each size bearing there is in one of these trucks? I do not want to know optional sizes or X versions. Just 5 of this size and 3 of this or whatever. It looks like one kit has 20 bearings, another kit has 23 bearings, another kit has 18 bearings.

I have a local place that sells bearings and has been in business for like 65 years. I would like to buy from them but they require a $100 minimum order so I would need to order them all at once. I just want to replace ALL of the ones on my Stampede (and my Slash too at some point) and not have to worry about it for a while.

You can look in the diagrams in the support section. I wouldn't spend over 100$ on bearings either. Just my .02cents...

Boca site tells you how many are in each kit

    http://www.bocabearings.com/bearing-...-elec-off-road

Green Seals work for me, with 25% off they are under $40 a set delivered

The Platinum kit has 1 less bearing (no slipper) and is $10 cheaper

Yes, I knew that. I even have them printed out on 11"x17" and 24"x36". I just figured that someone who had been doing this a long time knew the numbers right off the top of their head. I just find it odd that different companies list different amounts of bearings as "complete kits" and REALLY odd that Traxxas does not have a list of exactly how many and of what size bearings each of their vehicles use.

I don't really want to spend that much on bearings either. However, with the used Slash I bought it has several locked bearings, several make a sound and vibrate when you turn them and NONE of them spin freely even after being taken apart and cleaned. The guy also gave me a bag of bearings some of which were brand new and they do not spin freely. When I watched a video on youtube about how to clean your bearings and saw the way that guys bearings spun USED it made me jealous...

Go to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T_yhucQjFBg and skip to 4:43. You will see what I mean.

Thanks for the link Crusey. I saw that that one had 20. Then went to TowerHobbies and looked up a kit and it had 23, went to another site (forgot which) and it only had 18 bearings in it. Just very confusing for a new guy is all.

99 Cent RC Car & Truck Econo Power bearing kits are the most affordable way to replace stock bearings with high quality standard bearings at just 99 cents per bearing. Boca's Econo Power 99 Cent RC Bearings have long been the industry standard for backyard bashers the world over. These bearings have chrome steel races, balls, retainers and shields. All Econo Power bearings are packed in grease and will require a short break in period to loosen up. Each kit contains bearings for a limited time only at just 99 cents per bearing!

RC Car & Truck Green Seal Bearing kits have been an industry standard for many years and are specially designed for off-road or excessively dirty driving environments. These ABEC #1 bearings are maintenance free and lubed for life. The heavy duty rubber seal provides extra protection against the harshest elements. All Green Seal bearings are packed in grease and will require a short break in period to loosen up.

I got a set of the yellow sealed ceramic's for 49.99 with free shipping. I had gone over to the site when they were having a 50%off sale and I also had a coupon good for 25% off any one purchase I had received for my birthday. So I bought 2 set's of the yellow seal bearing's for just under $100.00 buck's. Join the site and they send out really good coupon's and sale promo's. Could not pass up a deal like that.
