    Frederico,

    If you get a metal spur gear you must buy a Robinsons pinion too.
    The material of the pinion must be stronger than the robinson spur gear.

    Portugues? si te compras un spur gear de metal tienes que cambiar el pinion a un material mas fuerte, el mismo robinsons lo vende. No te recomiendo que uses un spur gear de metal porque si el no se rompe cuando debe romperse se va a romper la transmision y eso te costara mas caro. Saludos.

    87 GN:

    Freddy already owns a 24 T Robinsons pinion and wants to know what spur gear is recommended using 3S Lipo.

    Freddy:

    Eu não posso lhe dar uma resposta, 87 GN sabe melhor.

    is this a test.........lol
    2/3s
    24/60
    reduction 2.5 : 1
    48,840 rpm
    65.72 mph
    ====
    24/65
    reduction 2.71 : 1
    48,840 rpm
    60.66 mph

    with the big Joes start with the 65.....

    Hot motor + cool esc = under geared.
    Cool motor + hot esc = over geared
    Everything warm just right..

    Motor ~ 180/190*F (82/88*C) maximum, ideally 140/160*F (60/71*C), temps can be 10*F higher inside the motor
    ESC ~ pretty much same temps / Fan comes on @ 150*F (65*C)
    Lipo's ~ 140*F (60*C) max, ideally 100/120*F (38/49*C).........

    =========================

    Isto é um Test... lol

    24/60
    redução de 2,5: 1
    48.840 rpm
    65.72 mph
    ====
    24/65
    redução 2.71: 1
    48.840 rpm
    60.66 mph

    com o grande Joes iniciar com o 65....

    Motor quente + cool esc = abaixo dos orientada.
    Motor frio + quente esc = mais orientada
    Tudo quente apenas para a direita...

    Motor ~ 180/190 * máximo F, idealmente 140/160 * F, temps podem ser 10 * superior dentro do motor
    ESC ~ muito bonito mesmo temps / fã vem @ 150 * F
    Da Lipo ~ 140 * F máx, idealmente 100/120 * F

    Thanks 87GN sorry about my questions but im a begginner. If i have the possibility to order other pinion what would you recomend , staying with the 24 or buying another size, is stock 18/65 a good choice ? this for bashing with big joes.

    24/65 at low 60 mph is a good start.. with 2/3s
    If I remember right you want the reduction to be around 3.0.. So with the 24/65 @ 2.71 : 1 it's close.
    Did you set the LVC to 3.4v per cell. How to in link #3..

    Once again thanks for this valuable information. But just one thing im curious how do you obtain the mph that the car can give with that gearing? With reduction i understand you divide the 65:24 but how do you calculate to know the miles per hour?
