I just can't see it happening, I have a smaller 1/8 ofna with a mamba monster and it can't even hit 80 on
6s geared to the ceiling with a 2200kv not to mention the heat builds up fast

If you put 8s with a MMxl2 (which isn't his claim) maybe the 2200 could do 1 run to 100 before it demagnetized from the heat and applied field. No way you are making a daily or weekend driver with a xo-1 and a 2200 geared for 100mph

I am sure I could If I had some 6s lipos. Almost everyone runs a 2200kv motor for speed runs.

I'm not sure whats wrong with your car should do 100 with proper gearing. I know that the 2200 can push the xo-1 to well over 100. I did it with a tacon 40/74 motor 2150kv. Yoloer keep it up bro. this is a speed run car! no one should gear 34/46 and just drive around. make a pass or 2 then stop.

Wow, all of a sudden I'm making claims about my XO-1? I simply stated that I feel the 2200 can reach full rpm. Anyway, I have something coming in the mail to do some testing. It will be a 150a ESC and 2150kv motor. I'll let everyone know when I get it. Just ordered tonight so not sure how long it will take.

What!! Then something is wrong with your set-up, I have the similiar setup and I'm doing 112 MPH on 6s using a Neu motor. (Also geared to the moon).....

Lehner 3040 (1313 kv) motor, shulz fut-xxl-40.333WK, on 10s for bashing 12s for speed with 2 max amps 150 amp guaranteed lipos (only because they will have to replace them over and over for free

So i gota ask....with that 34p on the 2200 mmm...Temps? Traction? You do anything with torque control or left it off. I ask because i have been waiting for your reaction before i drop in that same setup. 25p in place of the 34p and already have an extra Castle cap soldered into the esc.

Temps are not that great at low speeds and hitting the gas. But high sped runs are great. 25p should be good!

Thanks! Already running the 25/46 on my other XO-1 for bashing in the street. Just hate torching MMM esc's if i dont have to. Thanks again. BTW are you staying in the 150 deg range on motor and 120 deg range on esc?

I can't tell you that sorry. I lost my temp gun and have not been able to find it. I really want to gear at about 30-29 but that doesn't exist so I may have to increase the spur size but then the pinion would be hitting the shock spring.

No problem, ill screw with it this weekend. Traxxas makes a 29p (have 2 of them) for the XO-1. 14, 29, 34 are all they offer so i wound up getting a 23p, 25p & 29p from Tekno. Running the 25 for now. They are a tad narower than stock but that has not hurt anything as of yet as long as the mesh is correct. 15 run days, no prob. If you run the 25p with a 50 or 52 spur, your temps wouldn't be an issue with that motor. But this is the chalkboard talking for now.
