Ugrades for a stock Slash 4x4

Hey guys. I'm new to r/c and just got my slash 4x4 last week. I've taken it to the track a few times, but what are some good upgrades for a beginner. Thanks in Advance.

Lots of people say RPM a-arms, King Headz Motor Mount,MIP axles(mainly if you run 3s),Castle motor and ESC 2400 combo and maybe better tyre and rim combo for the track.

I dont use the centre diff so I couldnt myself so I couldnt tell you but I think its more so for racing so it might be a advantage to get one for racing.

If you get the the 2400 motor combo and plan on running 3s the center diff will last less than one full pack. It is really meant to be run with 2s and for racing. I don't think the 2400 combo is good for racing, 2s with that motor will be soooooo slow. If you want to race then there are better choice's than the 2400 combo. Alot of people have had good luck with the 3800 MMP sct combo from castle, it is a great 2s race setup from people talking about it.

Upgrade's for a beginner I would go with some different shock/diff oil's, spring's, tire's and better batteries. If you have not gone lipo some good high C count lipo's with at least 4000mah for racing is a must.

Stay away from the center diff it's going to give you issues and remember to keep your bearings lubed on the truck wouldn't want a smokey motor.

hey this probably a question but when buying a set of tires does it come with 4 or 2???

what are some good cheap premounted tires and wheels?

Depends on what surface you are gonna be running on. Proline make a great assortment of premounted tires. If you run at a track ask around some guys might tell ya what they use.

I think a lipo and a good quality charger are one of the best upgrades!
