    I Call it FRANKEN MAXX!!!!

As you all have seen in earlier posts my gf had smashed into a tree ripping the front end off so i deicided it's time to get creative...........

I stripped the MAXX down to the chassis and it was bent, she hit it hard!!!, anyways i had some round stock laying around my work that i had bought earlier sometime last year.

ALL PARTS USED WAS FROM THE T-MAXX.

I still need to mount radio equpiment fuel tank and suspension. The front axle alone has about 8 hrs and its nowhere from being done I took the IFS diff and made it a straight axle. The chassis has 9hrs and is mainly done except for mounting equpiment and eyelets for suspension.

I wanted to make a replica of a real monster truck just to say i did it.

And please don't mind the mess i took all pictures this morning and had a hard weekend its all getting organized right now.

Questions, Concerns, Advice, Ideas are welcome will not be ignored.

    Very creative!
My big concern would be chassis flex, make sure you have sufficient bracing so as to reduce as much flex as possible between the spur and clutch bell.
Grab the chassis at each end and give it a good twisting and watch the CB/SG mesh.
Also, with the engine sitting up in the clouds like it is you may want to build a cage around it of some sort and integrate it into the chassis.
    No slipper/tall gearing/power = broken parts.

I'm saving the top cage for last so no worries with the engine being exposed it's not going to be. The chassis is braced to no end around the transmission and engine. It doesn't move too much now but with the top cage unsifinshed i can't test that out yet.

    Looks
Sweet. What are you doing for centre shafts?

With a chassis tht big, you could
Almost put a 1/5 4 stroke engine in their

Just some progress I still need to mount the upper suspension links work has picked up again lol

The geometry of the suspension is off, because of the upper links not being mounted. I can't wait till this is done I wanna break it lol.

    Any ideas for a body?

It's not bad idea....... Maybe for the nxt one i'm basing all mounting on what transmission and engine i'm using. Then going from there so each truck will have a name of the truck that was parted. For the center shafts im using cut down axel shafts from spare parts i had. I feel their beefy enough for now i never stripped one yet....

So i canned the other axel i didn't like it at all it was too quick of a design and would never hold up i'm too impatient.....Well after pondering for a week i came up with this bulletproof design. I LOVE IT and its really strong. It's NOT FINISHED yet still needs a skid plate servo mount steering block mounts and upper link mounts one side is larger to compensate for wleding the skid plate on.

Please pay no attention to the ip ties holding the shocks in place i'm waiting on the upper links to come in so i'm getting ideas to where i want them and testing the flex of different positions. SUSPENSION IS DEFFICULT holy cow But Slowly but surely I feel i'm conqureing it!

i wanna get it together then I'll look into changing up the shock setup to the maximum flex position the axles are heavy enough for a crawling application my snap-on tools dealer is very interested in how this truck is gonna perform cause he might want a set of these axles for his axial and other crawlers he's got.
